Question 1 of 3
1. Question
Read the following paragraph about an unusual job then underline any examples of conjunctions you can find.
People usually need to ask me twice when I tell them what I do for a living, because they think it’s not a real job. My name is Natasha and I’m a professional organiser. Since I was little, I’ve been a neat and tidy person. I was always clearing up after my siblings and even my parents. When I worked in a bank, which was the job I trained for – my degree is in accountancy – my co-workers frequently commented on how well organised my papers and personal items were on my desk. I became bored of working in the city, banking was high pressure, therefore when I was considering my next move, I thought why not turn my passion into my profession? As I result, I set up my business on social media, and some of my first customers were old friends, and everything has just grown from there. To put it simply, I tidy up other people’s houses, but in reality it is so much more than that. I really help people get control back over their lives by clearing out, organising, selling and giving away things to charity that they don’t need. Often they find that a life with less stuff actually gives them more joy because they worry so much less!
